The program was sponsored by the Japanese American Citizens League and the Japanese International Cultural Exchange, in order to encourage Japanese Americans to learn more about our cultural heritage. Over a week we traveled to Tokyo, Nagoya, and Gifu Prefecture, where we met with Japanese political leaders and immersed ourselves in cultural exchange to learn about our roots and promote a positive relationship between Japan and the US.
